Laura Gamble

Laura has escaped from the Land of the Giants to come and live in the exciting city of Hong Kong.

Laura was born in Norfolk, England, where she lived until she was 11 years old. One of her most favourite things was her racing bike that she had saved up for and used to ride everywhere with her friends. When she wasn't outside on her bike she was either reading (as she was a little bookworm) or playing with her little sister! Then her family moved to The Netherlands and after she learned to speak Dutch she went to secondary school and completed the International Baccalaureate.

Laura decided that since she loved reading and watching films more than anything else this is what she would like to study at university. She went back to the UK and completed a B.A. Honours degree at the University of Kent in English Literature and Film Studies (2001).

After university Laura went into the world of business. She completed a Graduate Training programme with Moto Hospitality and then went on to be a Customer Services Manager for Sainsbury (a national supermarket). She learned a lot of useful skills there, but ultimately decided that her passion was teaching and travel and she wanted to that as a job. Laura re-trained and now teaches in Hong Kong; all her wishes have come true!

In her spare time Laura still loves reading books and watching films as well as sightseeing, walking and eating!
