Liz Search

Liz was born in Stratford Upon Avon in the UK. She studied at Abbots Bromley School for Girls, an all girls boarding school, where she was locked away until the age of 18 and completed her GCSEs and A’Levels. Liz wanted to travel and train to be a chef but her parents thought she wouldn’t come back to complete her studies so Liz went straight from school to study Geography and Anthropology at Oxford Brookes University. She received her Bachelor of Science Honours degree in 2000.

After university, Liz started working for Barclays Bank PLC. She worked in management for 5 years and learned a lot including business management skills, coaching and training staff and customer service. The most important skills Liz learned during her time with the bank were customer service related skills. Liz loves talking to customers and enhancing their experience so that they always leave feeling well looked after. While hiring and training new staff in the Thames and Oxford area, Liz decided that she had a passion for developing people to be the best they can be. She completed her TEFL and Certificate of teaching and decided she wanted to work in children’s education.

Liz has been teaching for years and thoroughly enjoys it. She loves Mud Pies as she believes that with a little enthusiasm, people can achieve whatever they want. As her mum frequently told her, Liz believes that “Nothing is impossible”.

In her spare time, Liz loves cooking, walking, eating out, swimming and travelling.
